Mackenzie's 3rd Birthday

Mackenzie turned 3 on March 29th. She had been waiting for this day for so, so long. We had a teddy bear picnic party. We decorated the basement like we were outside, with bugs hanging from the ceiling, some trees, a wall scene and of course teddy bears everywhere. Upstairs we had our whole table covered in butcher paper so the kids could color until everyone got there. All of the kids brought their own teddy bear. When everyone got there we lined up and went into the "magical teddy bear forest", it was very exciting. When we got downstairs we danced with the bears and tossed the bears in our table cloth. The plastic table cloth did get shredded a little but it was still usable...not smart on my end.

Anyway, after the games, we spread out our table cloth and had a picnic on the floor. I had packed the kids lunches with little teddy bear sandwiches and other things. After lunch we went on a bear hunt through some obstacles and found a bear with all of the prizes. I think everyone had fun but it's hard to tell when your dealing with 2 and 3 year olds. Mackenzie is still talking about it and wants her birthday to be everyday. She asks me, "is it my birthday today?". She is so funny. Let's hope this is the end to the terrible 2's.
